Melissa Carty is an author of Paranormal, Urban Fantasy, and Young Adult fiction. From angels and demons to witches and ghosts, her books have them all. It’s what happens when normal life crosses paths with the supernatural that she finds most interesting. Melissa also loves that she can include her mixed heritage in her stories, so everyone can see themselves in a book.

Melissa Carty is an author of Paranormal, Urban Fantasy, and Young Adult fiction. She likes to explore anything from coming of age to romance with flawed characters who need to find their inner strength. Characters who are traversing the sometimes turbulent transition from teen to adult and what happens when their paths cross with the supernatural. From angels and demons to witches and ghosts, her books have them all.

 

Before becoming a writer, she earned a degree in Graphic Arts and spent many years as an artist. After falling in love with reading (thanks to two persistent friends), she started creating worlds of her own, and it has changed her life in so many wonderful ways. She believes there is magic in dreaming up a world so thoroughly that others can join her there. Melissa also loves that she can include her mixed heritage in her stories so that everyone can get a chance to see themselves in a book. 

 

Melissa lives in Florida and when she is not writing, drawing, or reading, she can be found spending time with her husband, kids, and a kitty named Luna.
